Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about SIGNBOT
Getting Started
SIGNBOT is an AI-powered algorithmic trading platform for Indian retail traders, covering NSE (Equity, F&O) and MCX (Futures) markets.
No. You can create strategies, backtest them, and run SIGNBOT virtual paper trading without any broker account. A broker account (Alice Blue) is only required for LiveBot real trading.
Sign up for free, go to the Strategy Builder, and either describe your strategy in plain language for the AI to generate, or build it manually by picking indicators and conditions.
SIGNBOT works as a responsive web app in your mobile browser, with an installable PWA experience.
Strategy Builder
No. Describe your strategy in plain language and the AI builder generates it, or use the manual builder to pick from 150+ indicators without writing any code.
RSI, EMA, MACD, VWAP, Supertrend, Camarilla, Bollinger Bands, ATR, Ichimoku and 140+ more, plus 30+ candlestick patterns and custom formulas.
Yes — conditions can be combined with AND/OR logic and nested groups for complex multi-indicator strategies.
Intraday, BTST (buy today sell tomorrow), Swing, and Positional, depending on the segment and your strategy configuration.
Backtest
Equity and futures backtests use real historical prices directly. Options backtests estimate premiums with a simplified model — intrinsic value plus a time-value term at a fixed 16% assumed volatility — because historical option-chain data is not available yet. That gives roughly 60-70% accuracy, and it will improve once real historical option premiums are added.
Up to 36 months for NSE Equity and F&O. MCX Futures is limited to 3 months of historical data due to vendor limits.
A flat ₹10 per run, taken from your wallet credits. There is no cap on how many you can run, and reading a report you have already generated is always free.
Total trades, win rate, net P&L, profit factor, max drawdown, Sharpe ratio, a full trade log, and an equity curve chart.
SIGNBOT Virtual Trading
No. SIGNBOT paper trading runs entirely on our vendor market data feed with virtual money — no broker login required.
Yes. Same live price data, same P&L calculation, same position tracking and candlestick charting as a real broker — just with virtual money instead of real capital.
₹15 on entry and ₹15 on exit, deducted from wallet credits — ₹30 per round trip.
Yes, BTST, Swing, and Positional trades auto-continue across days just like a real broker position.
LiveBot Real Trading
LiveBot connects to your own Alice Blue broker account via OAuth login. Orders are placed using your account, not a shared vendor account.
For safety, LiveBot requires you to activate it fresh each trading day before 8:59 AM IST. Activation stays valid until MCX close (11:30 PM IST) that day.
Yes, but not on the exact same strategy — if LiveBot is running a strategy, SIGNBOT automatically pauses for that specific strategy. SIGNBOT can still run other strategies or the same strategy on a different scrip.
₹30 on entry and ₹30 on exit, deducted from wallet credits — ₹60 per round trip.
Pricing & Wallet
No. There is no monthly subscription — you pay per usage from your wallet. You spend wallet credits only on backtest runs and on signal fees when you actually run a paper or live trade.
Wallet credits are real money used only for signal fees. Virtual money is fake money used to simulate P&L in SIGNBOT paper trading. The two are always kept separate — one never becomes the other.
Backtest, strategy creation, AI optimizer and Intel keep working. Paper and live trading pause until you top up — your existing positions and virtual money are unaffected.
Wallet credits are generally non-refundable once purchased, with limited exceptions for verified duplicate charges or platform errors — see our Refund Policy.
Technical Questions
NSE (Equity + F&O) supports 1min, 3min, 5min, 15min, 30min, 1hr, 4hr, and 1day. MCX Futures supports only 1min, 5min, 30min, and 1day.
No. Options strategies are always buy-only — CE buy for bullish signals, PE buy for bearish signals. We never write (sell) options.
Not in the current version — MCX support is limited to futures only.
Signal evaluation relies on a live in-memory candle window fed by the market data stream. If you notice stale prices, refresh the page or contact support — this is an area we continue to harden.
